Someone has a new 24" LED TV they didn't pay for!
The guy pictured below chose the TV along with a bottle of Gatorade. He "swiped" the TV at the checkout (wink wink), however, it didn't register. Then he swiped the drink and he paid for that!

Any idea who this woman might be? The Polk County Sheriff's Office would like to know.
The woman played a damsel in distress on Monday, January 6th. She approached our victim, telling her that she was from out of town and she needed to cash a money order so she would have money to purchase a bus ticket back home. She added that her ID and debit card was recently stolen, so she was unable to cash the money order herself. A good story, but it was just as bogus as the money order was.
Wanting to help the woman, our victim deposited the bogus money order into her own account via an ATM at TD Bank on Hwy 98 North in Lakeland took out $300, and handed the money over to the suspect.
When our victim returned home and checked her account online, she realized that the $300 came directly from her account.
If you recognize this woman or have any information helpful to this investigation, please contact Detective Ryan at 863-577-1629, or if you wish to remain anonymous, contact Heartland Crime Stoppers - call 1-800-226 TIPS (8477), visit the website www.heartlandcrimestoppers.com and click on "Submit A Tip," or download the free "P3tips" app on your smartphone or tablet. Macy's Grab and Go
The two pictured below went to Macy's ( Citi Center) and she went to the women's clothing and he went to the men's clothing. (Good so far?) He chose three separate items and she concealed nine items inside of her tote bag - to the tune of $532! They walked straight out and got into a gray Nissan Altima.
Recognize either of them? Please call Detective Cobb at 863-401-2256.
Callers wishing to remain anonymous should call Heartland Crime Stoppers at 1-800-226-TIPS (8477). Callers are guaranteed anonymity and could be eligible for a CASH reward!
On Monday, January 20th, a lot of businesses were closed for the observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. One of those businesses was Bobbie’s Busy Bee Daycare at 4105 Glenn Road in Lakeland.
The following day, the owner of the daycare noticed that a couple of items were missing…including an Amazon Fire 7 tablet.
Security video showed an unknown woman entering the closed business at 9 a.m. No forced-entry damage was discovered.
The woman can be seen looking around before she exits. But she quickly returns. This time with a small child.
What can’t be seen in this video clip, but what the detective saw in another clip was the woman taking the items and stuffing them under her clothing.
Our detective would like to speak to this woman regarding this incident.
If you recognize this woman, or have some other information that might be helpful toward this investigation, please contact Detective Colletti at 863-577-1600, or if you wish to remain anonymous, contact Heartland Crime Stoppers - call 1-800-226 TIPS (8477), visit the website www.heartlandcrimestoppers.com and click on "Submit A Tip," or download the free "P3tips" app on your smartphone or tablet.
